How does the XP system work? Do my points expire?

Two separate XP counters

Cinoslots tracks XP in two ways:

1. Lifetime XP — for tier progression

Cumulative across your entire history. Never decays, never resets, never expires. This is what determines your VIP tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Elite).

2. Weekly XP — for leaderboards & tournaments

Resets every Monday 00:00 UTC. Used for:

• Weekly leaderboard rankings (top 100 win prizes)
• Tournament entry minimums ("must have 5,000 weekly XP")
• Some flash promotions ("earn 1,000 weekly XP for a free spin pack")

How XP is earned

1 XP per $10 wagered — applied to both counters simultaneously. A single $1,000 bet adds 100 to your lifetime AND 100 to your weekly counter at the same time.

XP multipliers

We periodically run 2× or 3× XP events:

• Daily multipliers for featured games (the game-detail page shows the multiplier)
• Weekend XP boost events for VIP Bronze+ (announced Thursdays)
• Tournament periods — sometimes XP is doubled for the duration

When a multiplier is active, both lifetime and weekly XP accrue at the boosted rate.

Anti-gaming measures

To prevent XP farming via low-edge play patterns:

• Bets on Originals' "auto" mode at sub-1¢ stake earn reduced XP (10% of normal).
• Bets at edge-zero limits (some Blackjack tables under perfect basic strategy) are excluded.
• Self-betting against yourself in tournaments → caught and disqualified.

Negative XP (clawback) — when?

Only one scenario: confirmed bonus abuse, multi-accounting, or chargeback fraud. We can claw back XP earned during the abusive period. This has happened maybe 30 times in our history; legitimate players never see it.

Profile → VIP shows:

• Lifetime XP + tier progress bar to next tier
• Weekly XP + leaderboard rank
• XP earned per game family (so you can see what's contributing most)
• History of XP-earning events
