What's the difference between my username and display name?

Username (permanent)

Generated from your email at sign-up — short, lowercase, immutable. It's used internally for:

• Login (some users prefer it over email)
• Support ticket identification
• Audit logs

Because it's used in our internal database joins, it cannot be changed. If you absolutely must rename, the only option is to close and reopen the account — which forfeits your VIP XP and bonus history.

Display name (changeable)

Shown on:

• Public leaderboards
• The live big-win feed on the home page
• Tournament standings
• Chat (if you use Telegram-linked features)

Edit it under Profile → Account → Display name. Rules:

• 3–20 characters
• Letters, digits, hyphens, underscores
• No profanity (we filter against a 4,000-word list in 12 languages)
• No impersonation of staff (anything starting with "admin", "support", "vip" is reserved)
• Change limit: once every 30 days.

Privacy mode

Don't want to appear on leaderboards at all? Enable Profile → Preferences → Anonymous mode. You'll show as "Player ****" in public surfaces while your real display name remains visible to your friends list.
