I sent the wrong coin (or wrong network) to a deposit address — help!

EVM-chain mistakes are usually recoverable. Native-chain mistakes (BTC to LTC, etc) are not. Contact support immediately with the TX hash.

Time matters — contact support fast

Open live chat or email [email protected] with:

  • The TX hash
  • Which coin/network you intended
  • Which coin/network you actually sent

Our compliance and engineering teams handle these case-by-case.

What's recoverable

EVM chains sharing the same address (Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Avalanche C-chain)

If you sent:

  • USDT on BEP20 to your USDT ERC20 deposit address → recoverable. The same private key controls both. Allow 24–48 hours for our team to sweep.
  • BNB to an Ethereum-format address → recoverable.
  • Any ERC20 token to a BSC address → recoverable as long as the address format matches (0x...).

We charge a recovery fee equal to the network gas cost — no markup.

TRON-family confusion

  • USDT TRC20 sent to a TRON address that we control on TRC20 → automatically credited if it landed in our hot wallet pool, even if "wrong" coin.
  • TRX sent to USDT-TRC20 address → recoverable (same TRON network).

What's NOT recoverable

These cannot be retrieved — you sent to a chain we have no key for:

  • BTC sent to an LTC address (different chain, different key)
  • LTC sent to a DOGE address
  • Any native L1 coin sent to an unrelated L1 address
  • Coin sent to a 3rd-party exchange address by mistake — that's their problem, not ours

How to prevent this next time

  • Always copy-paste the address — never type. Always verify the first 4 and last 4 characters match.
  • Always select the matching network in your sending wallet (USDT on TRC20 ≠ USDT on ERC20).
  • For your first deposit on a new network, send a small test amount (~$15) first, confirm it credits, then send the rest.
  • Use Trust Wallet or Exodus' "scan QR" — they auto-pick the right network.

Even seasoned crypto users lose funds to wrong-network sends about once a year. There is no shame in test transactions.
