1. Our commitment
Cinoslots was built around the conviction that gambling is entertainment — and entertainment that is in your control. The very small minority of players who experience harm matter more to us than the much larger group whose play is a healthy hobby, because harm to one is harm too many. Our Responsible Gaming programme is a permanent, properly resourced part of the platform: not a footnote, not a checkbox, not a press release. It is owned by the Head of Player Protection, who reports directly to the Board of Directors and whose remit explicitly includes the authority to interrupt commercial activity when player safety requires it.
This policy summarises the tools and processes we operate. The Self-Exclusion Policy describes the strongest of the tools — the option to lock yourself out for a defined period or permanently — in greater depth.
2. Tools you control
Every player, regardless of tier, has free access to the following tools from the "Limits" section of the profile page. Most can be made stricter at any time; relaxing a limit is subject to a cooling-off delay so that decisions made in the heat of a session do not undo decisions made calmly.
Deposit limits
Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on cumulative deposits. The cap may be expressed in any supported currency; we convert other deposits to that currency at the prevailing market rate. New limits become active immediately when stricter; relaxations require a 24-hour confirmation window followed by an email confirmation step.
Loss limits
Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on net loss (deposits minus withdrawals minus current balance). When the cap is reached, further wagers are blocked until the period resets. Loss limits are particularly useful for players who tend to chase losses.
Single-wager limits
Set the maximum stake permitted on a single round, regardless of game. Useful for players who find themselves increasing stake size as a session goes on.
Session limits
Set the maximum continuous session length, after which you are logged out and asked to take a break. Combine with reality-check pop-ups every fifteen, thirty or sixty minutes.
Reality checks
A non-dismissable pop-up that summarises your session: how long you have been playing, how much you have wagered, how much you have won or lost, and whether you would like to continue or stop. Off by default; on for any player who has self-identified as at-risk.
Cooling-off
Lock the account for between twenty-four hours and seven days. Cannot be lifted early. Useful for taking a short break around a stressful life event.
Self-exclusion
The strongest tool; described in detail in the Self-Exclusion Policy. Available periods are 1 month, 6 months, 12 months, 5 years and permanent. Once activated cannot be lifted early under any circumstances and (for periods of 5 years and permanent) cannot be lifted at all.
3. Tools we operate on your behalf
Players are not always the first to know that play has shifted from healthy to harmful. We operate the following safeguards proactively.
- Markers of harm model — a continuously running model evaluates dozens of signals (deposit velocity, deposit-loss ratio, time-of-day pattern, response to losing streaks, declined deposit attempts, increase in stake size, late-night sessions, multiple failed payment attempts on a single card, breaking a previously stable pattern). Players whose composite score crosses a threshold are flagged for human review and an outreach intervention is initiated.
- Affordability checks — players whose declared or inferred deposit volume looks high relative to publicly available average-income data for their country are asked to provide affordability information (a simple non-intrusive questionnaire with optional documentary evidence).
- Age-verification re-checks — any signal that a logged-in account may not be operated by the registered holder (geolocation jump, unusual game choice, language change) re-triggers age and identity verification.
- Marketing exclusion — opt-outs propagate to all channels (email, SMS, push, in-product banners, paid advertising look-alike audiences) within twenty-four hours and are honoured permanently. Self-excluded players are removed from all marketing automatically and cannot be added back even if they reopen an account in future.
- Bonus suppression for at-risk players — players flagged by the markers-of-harm model are removed from bonus eligibility lists; the existing balance and any active bonus are preserved.
4. Outreach interventions
Where the markers-of-harm model flags a player, an outreach is initiated by the Player Protection team. The outreach is private, non-judgemental and based on the welfare conversation framework recommended by GamCare. It typically takes the form of an email or in-product message offering a non-binding session with a Player Protection specialist, with clear suggestions for tools that match the observed pattern. Outreach is logged and the result feeds back into the model. Players are never penalised for engaging in an outreach conversation and never marketed to during the conversation.
5. Underage protection
Cinoslots is for adults aged eighteen years and older. Anyone under that age must not register, play or deposit. Parents and guardians who suspect that a minor in their care has accessed the platform should contact [email protected] immediately; we will close the account, refund any net deposit balance after AML checks, and take steps to prevent re-registration. We support and encourage the use of parental-control software including Net Nanny, CYBERsitter, NetIntelligence and Apple Screen Time.

7. Resources and information
The Player Protection team publishes short articles in the Help Center on common issues including how to recognise the early signs of harm, how to talk to a friend or family member who may be at risk, the difference between a gambling habit and a gambling problem, and what to expect from a structured treatment programme. These articles are written by specialists and reviewed annually by an external clinical advisor.
8. Affiliate and marketing standards
Every affiliate that promotes Cinoslots agrees to a Responsible-Marketing Code that prohibits targeting under-18 audiences, prohibits depicting gambling as a route to financial success, prohibits implying that skill or strategy will overcome the house edge in games of pure chance, requires the inclusion of "18+" and a help-line link in every creative, and reserves our right to terminate the affiliate relationship for any breach. We monitor affiliate creative continuously and remove non-compliant material on detection.
