What are wagering requirements (rollover) and how do they work?

Plain-English definition

A wagering requirement (also called rollover or playthrough) is the number of times you must bet your bonus amount before it becomes real, withdrawable money.

Worked example

You deposit $100 and receive a $200 bonus with a 35× wagering requirement.

• Wagering target: $200 × 35 = $7,000 in bets
• This is the cumulative total across all eligible games
• Each $1 bet on a 100%-contributing game (e.g. slots) advances you $1 toward the $7,000

You can lose individual bets and still progress — the requirement is on bets placed, not bets won.

Game contribution rates

Not every game contributes equally. The standard rates:

What happens when wagering expires (30 days)

Unfulfilled bonus money is removed. Your real-money deposit is unaffected.

Why have wagering at all?

Without it, every player could deposit, claim a 200% bonus, and immediately withdraw 3× their deposit risk-free. The casino would close inside a month. The wagering requirement converts the bonus from a giveaway into "more time to play with our money."
